MRV application fee is strictly non-refundable even if visa is rejected or interview is missed. ⚠️ VISA BOND (effective January 21, 2026): All Bangladeshi B1/B2 applicants must pay a refundable bond of $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000 — amount decided by consular officer at interview. Bond is refunded after confirmed departure from USA. ⚠️ Bond payment ONLY through Pay.gov — DO NOT pay through any third-party website. Scams are rampant. Bond completion form: DHS Form I-352 must be submitted alongside bond payment. Current B1/B2 interview wait time at US Embassy Dhaka: approximately 7-8 months. Apply at least 10-12 months before intended travel. Do NOT purchase non-refundable flights or make non-refundable hotel bookings before visa is approved. US B1/B2 visa once issued is typically valid for 10 years with multiple entries — each stay maximum 6 months. Strong documentation and interview preparation are critical.
