Australia visitor visa fee: AUD 195 (~৳17,000) — non-refundable even if rejected. Fees increase annually on July 1. ⚠️ Payment method in Bangladesh: Pay Order or Bank Draft from Standard Chartered Bank or BRAC Bank counter at VFS-AVAC Dhaka ONLY — credit cards NOT accepted. Australia visa is electronic — no sticker in passport. Carry email approval printout when traveling. ⚠️ GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) is the #1 reason for refusal — if case officer is not convinced you'll return to Bangladesh, visa is refused. Strong job, property, and family ties are essential. Visa validity: 3 months (standard), 6 months, or 12 months — decided by Department of Home Affairs based on your profile. Each stay in Australia maximum 3 months (visitor stream) unless 6 or 12 month stay is specifically granted. Health insurance highly recommended — Australian hospital costs AUD 3,000+ per day for uninsured visitors. Medical examination may be required for stays of 3+ months — conducted at IOM/approved clinic in Dhaka (~৳8,000-12,000). Previous visa refusals from Australia or any other country MUST be disclosed — hiding refusals leads to permanent ban.
